welcome!
I am Hailey Rose Viars, and I am so glad you're here.
I am simply a gal who loves sunsets, traveling, Zach Bryan's music, vanilla Dr. Pepper from Sonic, my family, my friends, and Jesus.

Born and raised in small town East Tennessee, I spent most of my time growing up in a barn. The sweet aroma of hay, soft rumblings of attention hungry horses, and crunching of gravel live rent free in my head. It was in that barn that my love for agriculture was cultivated, zeal for life fostered, and dreams nurtured.

To the best of my ability, this website serves as a digital representation of who I am, what I have accomplished, and the skills I have developed. As you navigate through my website, I hope you can gain an insight into who I am, what I stand for, and the skills I have worked hard to develop.
my story
Looking back over my life, I can see so clearly how each stage of my life has served as a stepping stone to who I am today.
From the tender age of four, standing in a field picking out my very first horse, and entering my first rodeo only two years later. Soon followed by various rodeo queen titles and many, many miles spent driving I-40 to rodeo after rodeo. This eventually transitioned to miles spent traveling competing and participating in FFA events and serving in leadership positions. Which soon gave way to four incredible years on Rocky Top full of priceless memories, many skills learned, doors opened, Saturdays spent wearing orange, and a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Communications. (Go Vols!!) It was then time to trade one shade of orange for another and spend two amazing years in Stillwater while pursuing a Master of Agriculture in International Agriculture at Oklahoma State University. (Go Cowboys!!) My last semester of school (ever!!) was spent abroad completing an international digital communications internship in the United Kingdom where I was able to put all the skills and knowledge I learned both at UTK and OSU (and everywhere in between) to practice.

Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have identified three key words that serve as a foundation for who I want to be — communicator, creator, and storyteller. But I don't want to be just any communicator, creator, and storyteller, I dream of contributing to the western and agriculture industry using my agricultural communications skills to capture, preserve, and promote the western and agriculture lifestyle.

I have taken my first step towards accomplishing this goal by accepting the role of Communications Manager at a therapeutic riding center near my hometown. In this role I strive to ensure brand consistency in internal and external communications, create impactful marketing materials, and tell the heartwarming story of the center's ability to provide equine assisted services for persons with physical, emotional, and neurological challenges.

In my free time, I look forward to continue picking up my camera and work as a freelance photographer, videographer, and designer. (If you’d like to work together, be sure to connect with me via the links at the bottom of this page!)

that's my story and I'm sticking to it
I have been very blessed in my short time on earth with an abundance of opportunities to develop a diverse skill set, meet wonderful people, visit amazing places, and make many memories.
I am incredibly thankful for all of the windows of possibility that have led to the development of my passion for the agriculture industry, a desire to connect with people, and a thirst for adventure.

As my career path begins to take shape, I am looking forward to the opportunities ahead that will allow me to utilize my skills to work as an agriculturalist, advocate for those without a voice, and serve as an ambassador for organizations I believe in.
